BIOGRAFIA


Figline Valdarno (Firenze) 1961. Dopo gli studi liceali e accademici a Firenze, nella secon- da metà degli anni ottanta viaggia negli Stati Uniti, dove lavora presso Jo Watanabe studio alla rea- lizzazione di grafiche e wall drawings di Sol Lewitt e poi a Roma nello studio di Alighiero Boetti. Dagli anni Novanta è autore di una ricerca basata sull’analisi del medium artistico, sulle sue ramificazioni, sulle possibilità creative dell’errore e dell’uso composito di tecniche e materiali. 




Tra i progetti che lo vedono tra i fondatori ricordiamo: Importé d’Italie (1982), ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ (1993), De-ABC (2002), dal 2010 Madeinfilandia e dal 2015 Spazio C.O.S.M.O. a Milano. Inizia a mo- strare sin dalla seconda metà degli anni ottanta e dal 1996 viene invitato a partecipare ad una serie di esposizioni internazionali tra cui la Biennale di Venezia (1997), la Triennale di New Dehli (1997), Biennal of Cetinje (1997), Triennale di Vilnius (2000), Whitney Museum of American Art at Champion (1998), Biennal of Valencia (2001), Moscow Biennal of Contemporary Art (2007), Quadriennale di Roma (2008). Vive e lavora a Milano.


Born in Figline Valdarno (Florence) in 1961. After High School and Academic Studies in Florence, in the second half of the eighties he traveled to the United States, where he worked at the Jo Watanabe studio creating graphics and wall drawings by Sol Lewitt and then in Rome in Alighiero Boetti's studio. Since the 1990s he has been the author of research based on the analysis of the artistic medium, its ramifications, the creative possibilities of error and the composite use of techniques and materials. 






Among the projects that see him among the founders we mention: Importé d'Italie (1982), ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ (1993), De-ABC (2002), from 2010 Madeinfilandia and from 2015 Spazio C.O.S.M.O. in Milan. He began to show since the second half of the eighties and since 1996 he has been invited to participate in a series of international exhibitions including the Venice Biennale (1997), the New Dehli Triennale (1997), Biennal of Cetinje (1997), Triennale of Vilnius (2000), Whitney Museum of American Art at Champion (1998), Valencia Biennial (2001), Moscow Biennial of Contemporary Art (2007), Rome Quadrennial (2008). He lives and works in Milan.
