Asola (Mantova) 1961. Vive e lavora a Milano. Nel 1986 si laurea in Scienze Agrarie con una tesi di virologia. Partecipa alla prima mostra collettiva nel 1985 alla ex fabbrica Brown Boveri, dove incontra Corrado Levi, il suo primo maestro. Ha frequentato l’ambiente artistico italiano, assieme ad altri giovani artisti, nel momento di rinnova- mento successivo alle stagioni dominate dall’Arte Povera e dalla Transavanguardia.


Dagli anni ’80 espone in mostre personali e collettive, in gallerie e istituzione d’arte in Italia e all’estero, come La Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo di Torino, il Museo MAXXI di Roma, il museo Isabella Stewart Gardner a Boston, la Biennale di Venezia. 

Born in Asola (Mantova) in 1961. He lives and works in Milan. In 1986 he graduated in Agricultural Sciences with a thesis on virology. He participated in a first collective exhibition in 1985 at the former Brown Boveri factory, where he met Corrado Levi, his first teacher. He spent time in the Italian artistic environment, together with other young artists, in the moment of renewal following the seasons prevailed by Arte Povera and the Transavantgarde. 


Since the 1980s he has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, in galleries and art institutions in Italy and abroad, such as the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation in Turin, the MAXXI Museum in Rome, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, the Biennale from Venice.
